在下认为，你翻译中文而成的英文，其意义不是中文的（意义），二者意义不同。第一，现在式的disapproves就不符合中文的『批评，堆砌』二动词的时间。批评堆砌发生在过去，不可能是永远不停地在批评，永远在堆砌，二者乃是过去的一个行为，遂应该用过去式（民国时代的中文叫『式』）的英文来翻译。即disapproved。
第二，merits不应该是复数，应该是单数的merit。如果merit后面是动词using，应
该是merit in using Chinese characters，不应该是of。如果要保留of，using就
应该删去，而成merit of Chinese characters。这才符合你的中文意义。你批评的
是中国字，而不是『使用』（中国字）。
第三，by quoting academic research也错，应该是 by means of his scholarship;
或by means of his academic attainment，或 by means of quoting from his academic studies。
第四，你解释的which，我也不敢苟同。因为，which是个形容词(adjective)，只能
代替名词，不能代替动词disapprove。如要代替动词disapprove，要
which action (or actions以代替你句中的两个动词)。即：which action, to some
critics, is like ...
第五，你的cultural tradition马虎可行，其实应该是semantic tradition。你的
大作全是semantics。即：
Hebian disapproved the merit of Chinese characters by means of quoting his
academic studies, which action, to some critics, is like to destroy the
Chinese semantic tradition..（这is却应该是现在式）
