Before I watched, 2 things in my mind. 1) what was the DNA evidence about and 2) waht was the statistics behind the conclusion that the tomb is jesus family.
A little bit disappointed about the DNA study because it only proved that the jesus bone is different from Maryammne's (?) by mitochondrial DNA that was used to show mother linkage. It was unfortunate that the other bone boxs were vacuum-cleaned.
The statistical evidence was relied on the identified name carved on the box. The occurrence of the combination of the names as a family is 1/30000. Therefore it was compelling despite the fact that the sample is small.
Most amusing is that the Jame's box was stolen around 1980 and be found in 2002 after the scan microelectronicscopic study. The guy who stole it is in court in israel bound with the evidence used in this film.
The result of debates are expected to me. No one will be convinced absolutely. That is science about. And the true christian does not see things by sight but by faith. and one interesting point is that they argued about if the whole body or just spirit raise to heaven in the christian world.
It just too hard to absolutely prove something that occurred 2000 years ago.
