esp. the point on collectivism.

japanese collectivism reminds me of organic view of a nation. German philosopers, Fitchet and Herder, had this organic view of german nation, many said the organic view of nation formed a big part of the later nazi ideology. in this sense, japanese have a real sense of nation, organic sort, every citizen is part of this bigger living organism - japanese nation; while chinese do not have a real sense of a nationhood
