as in Iraq War, US put around 100,000 troops to tackle a much bigger iraqi army, iraqi elite troops must have been much smaller than the US troops
Now US reduce their presence in Iraq by 15,000 down to around 125,000, and although there are numerous insurgent, but as the pentagon estimate, there are only 6,000-9,000 hard core fighters left, hence still more than 10 US solders fight one insurgent in Iraq. |
