Also, if I betray my belief, my book will be published by a politcal fundation. This would be very important to me because now facing early retirement with a very slim pension, I need to be famous very badly as fame will bring money. Go into the internal forum and you will know what I am talking about here.
Surely I would feel proud if I was invited by the Embassy. The reason is pretty simple: my value as a scientist is acknowledged even by the Chinese government. Thus, I could use my fame to influence the government to a better direction. For your information, let me tell you the CCP invites overseas scholars to visit China every now and then, holding meetings with them only to listen to their criticisms. I would of course treasure such a chance to voice my criticisms so as to help China to progress.
Your problem is your mind is corrupted by your passion for "finding enemies everywhere". You see, I am too mature to be "united". For all my life, I always hate to be manipulated by any political forces. I was not born to be a political tool. Instead, I was a born rebel, never able to fit in any establishment.
Tell me the difference between going to mainland,doing business with the commies and making good money, and going to an offical banquet. Excuse me for my dullness, but I cannot see what was wrong with the latter if the former was allowed.
Can't you see? You guys are driving away every potential supporter by mimicking the Confucians of the Song Dynasty. It really makes me sick.
You are confusing concepts here. How could 海外作家，郑义刘宾雁 be identical to scientists? Between you and me, I do not believe their achievements could be compared with mine as a writer. Even so, as scientist, I feel inferior to Feiwenren. Are you saying that the commies would invite me because I wrote "On the ugly mainlanders"? Don't be ridiculous.

The answer is yes. For one thing, I do not believe going to a banquet is taking part part in "political activities", ie, selling my soul to a political force. For another, I am firmly convinced that those 民运 trashes are the most re-actionary political force, much much more evil than the CCP. Thirdly, I do not think that they are clever enough to know the commies tactics of "united front", even though I repeatedly told them they were driving away potential allies. So they will NEVER invite me to criticize them. In this respect, I regret to say that the CCP is much more tolerating than them as they do invite overseas scholars to go back home just to criticize them. Finally, those 民运 orgnaizations could only do cheap shows at the cost of the safety of domestic dissidents as Liu Di, and Du Daobin's cases have demonstrated. Therefore, I will never have a part in their criminal activities.
