chinese history. Because the social norm, moral value all collapsed in the first 3 decades since 1949. Few luck little guys could fxck the social ladder up, partly because they have nothing to lose, and hence they could do anything to going up. After 2005, the new caste is drawn, the thing would be different.
Foreign money swamming-in is not very convincing. Take a close look, one can figure out that few of them seek long term prosperity. This is quite different from the money going into US or Europe: it's always trying to settle down there.
The big economy problem is: the RMB value is twisted: appreciated oversea but depreciated within. The cause is obvious: everything Americans buy depends on chinese money. China is not able to dump US garbages(1000B), as Mr Greenspan said couple weeks ago.
