数学家往往有很多低级的趣味, of course they never dreamed of providing 公理 for their own eccentric private way of life. That is the saving grace for great men.

Mathematics used to be pure and noble. But these days, politics is being ruled by artificial head counts. So Mathematics can no longer remain as pure as it was in the old days.
