All communist parties worldwide had sent in their archives to Moscow. Only Chinese communist party had transferred archives related to them out of Moscow. In Moscow, there is no declassified archives that belonged to the Chinese communist party.

Other than the commonly-know errors about Hu Zongnan, Long March and 1937 Resistance War, Zhang Rong carried on at least two historical fallacies, namely, 1) America gave Chiang Kai-shek 2 billion dollars in aid; and 2) Chinese communist had 1.2 million troops when Japan surrendered in Aug 1945.

A) Zhang Rong, in fact, claimed the aid was 3 billion. Zhang Pu whitewashed it to 1.5 billion in financial aid, while 0.8 billion in military aid. There was never anything close to 0.8 billion for Chiang Kai-shk.

The two wrote a book on Soong Qing-ling about ten years ago. Anybody who had read about it knew it was full of errors. Ten years from now, Zhang Rong would probably have to acknowledge their new book was full of errors as well.
