just watched a french film 'The Beat That My Heart Skipped'. Beauty and courage is forever linked with suffering and overcoming violent self-tormenting. Utopia is not to do away with humankind's capacity for suffering but to accept it as a way towards salvation. Deliverance of redemptive power can only be achieved through art.
