2003年发展市场活动启动
提交项目建议书：2003年3月3日－5月2日
公布进入决赛名单：2003年7月14日
市场竞赛和知识论坛：2003年12月3日－4日
世界银行2003年发展市场活动目前正在以“为贫困人口提供服务”为题广泛征求具有创新性的发展倡仪。今年，发展市场预期将向获胜的项目提供总额不少于400亿美元的赠款，每笔赠款的数额最高可达25万美元。
这个全球性的竞赛活动欢迎各方面的组织参与，包括民间组织、工会、宗教组织、政府机构和私营企业实体（与公益性组织合作）。
项目建议书将通过发展市场网站提交。
所有的项目建议书都应反映“为贫困人口提供服务”的发展市场主题。这一主题反映了世界银行《2004年世界发展报告》的主题，是通过资助具有创新性的想法以测试和推动为贫困人口提供有效服务的实践，在报告分析的基础上做出进一步扩展的努力。

Marketplace Competition and knowledge forum: December 3-4, 2003
The DM 2003 is currently seeking innovative development ideas on the topic of Making Services Work for Poor People. This year, DM expects to award at least US$4M to winning projects, with a maximum award size of US$250,000.
The global competition is open to a wide variety of organizations, including NGOs, trade unions, faith-based organizations, public agencies, and private sector entities (in partnership with public-purpose organizations).
Proposals will be accepted through the DM website.
All proposal submissions should reflect the DM theme of Making Services World for Poor People. This theme reflects the World Bank's upcoming World Development Report 2004 theme of the same name, and is an effort to expand on the document's analysis by funding innovative ideas that test and advance the practice of providing effective services to the poor.
