Your last paragraph reminded me of a slogan:

"横下一条心，割断一根筋！"in characters huge enough

to compete " 学习三个代表光辉理论！"

Some essays appeared in domestic newspapers,

critisizing the slogan as "vulgar".

Yet, as it's a favorite form of so many

communist officials', it can still be seen on public occasions.
