关于科学笑话（续二）中“置信度”的一点解释
作日收到蓝极网友的跟贴后，因有事急着离开，匆匆回的了”thanks“，对蓝网友的问题未回答。现看到其他网友对本人的”thanks“也点击了两次，看来我至少要就“置信度”一词作些交代。
这个笑话脱胎于下面所附的英文资料，“置信度”一词也出于该文；本人对故事作了修改后，也曾“置信度”的用法有所犹豫。正如蓝网友所说，最好把统计毕业生的回答改为例如”两次一共进帐的数目在一千万至二千万之间，置信度为95%“。
我最终没有改，是考虑到统计毕业生也可以将 两次一共进帐的数目当成一个离散随机变量X，（例如将1元甚至将1分作为最小货币单位）。这样以来，事件X=15000000 （或X=1500000000）的概率就可以取正值，比方说：
P(X=14999999)=2.5%, P(X=15000000)=95%, P(X=15000001)=2.5%, P(X)=0 for all other X.
这样一来，也可以说成X落在退化区间[15000000, 15000000]的概率为95%，用“置信度”一词似乎也说得过去。平时提到置信度时总与一个有正长度的区间相连，是因为通常考察的多是连续取值的统计变量，它取每个固定数值的概略都是０。
