To be honest, I don't think Mingyun is on the "right track" right now. Not at all.
For 20 years, the main problem of Mingyun is its incapability, even if it has a good principle. Now it seems to be gaining some momentum from Falun
Gong, however, it pays by giving up its own principle.
Falun Gong is not bad, but it is definitely NOT qualified to lead the whole Chinese Democratic Movement. 九评退党 is humiliating CPC for sure, but it will NOT shake dictatorship in China as some optimisticists thought.
I remember in early 1990s, Mingyun was even more optimistic and influential than today. However, time later taught us that you could not expect to win a
revolution simply through anti-communism propaganda. I can bet that this season next year, many democrats will feel disappointed again after they found that CPC is still in absolute power.
In order to beat CPC, we can only resort to the conscience deeply hidden in many Chinese hearts we saw in 1989. And we must give them hope by showing them that we are much much morally better and care them more than CPC. If "退党” could be used by probably corrupt senior Chinese officials like 韩广生 to achieve political asyslum, then Chinese prople would feel they got betrayed and turn their back against Mingyun or Falun Gong. However, Falun
Gong seems never be able to appreciate the simple political logic here, thanks to its abysmal religious "reasoning" system.
The non-democratic/non-scientific system within Falun Gong will make it much less immune to flattery. So if Mingyun also starts to follow it, it will become over-confident and make serious blunders very very soon. In recent
months, Falung Gong gained some useless acclaim but actually had been losing grassroot support from common overseas Chinese. If Mingyun choose to bundle
itself tightly with Falun Gong, Mingyun will actually "捧杀” them.
That's why I said 1 month ago:
一个连民运都五体投地、众星捧月的民间宗教，在政治上自我膨胀几乎是必然的，这一点不以人或“佛”的意志为转移。
.....即使从民主政治权力制衡应当防微杜渐的角度出发，这次民运的纪念六四活动也应该坚守自己的立场，“决不能退”，否则坏例一开、阵脚大乱、后患无穷。
Sadly，I am seeing what I predicted is happening,only much much worse. Right now even 韩广生 have learned that Falun Gong is such a powerful machine that can wash all his dirt up in a day。顺我者昌 has already become a Falun Gong
reality overseas.
