ANNOUNCEMENT
Conference on Inframarginal Analysis and Chinese Economy
15-16 July 2002, Fudan University
China Center for Economic Studies (CCES) at Fudan University will hold an
international conference from July 15 to July 16, 2002 at Fudan University.
The theme of the conference is 揑nframarginal Analysis and Chinese
Economy? Inframarginal analysis is a fundamental approach of new classical
economics developed by Prof. Yang, Xiaokai at Economics Department, Monash
University, Australia. The conference aims at putting forward the
application of the new analytical framework in the economic research in
China. Well-known economists and participants from China and other
countries, including Prof. Yang, Xiaokai, will exchange views on the
following topics:
1) Reviewing the inframarginal analysis approach
2) Studying the reform of China and the development of contemporary
economy by using the inframarginal analysis approach
3) Applying the inframarginal analysis approach to the modern economic
research
4) Other related to the inframarginal analysis approach
The conference is co-organized by China Center for Economic Study (CCES)
at Fudan University, and the University of Macao. The Organizing Committee
now calls for submission of abstracts. Submissions will be reviewed and
those accepted will be advised shortly after the reviews.
Some important dates to note are:
- Deadline for submission of abstract is May 30, 2002.
- Deadline for submission of accepted paper is June 20, 2002. Two print
copies and one electronic copy compatible with Microsoft Word are required.
- Conference invitation will be delivered to participants before June 20,
2002.
To deliver abstracts and papers in English is strongly recommended. It is
planned that a selection of presented papers will be published by reputable
publishers.
This is an international academic conference and English is the preferred
language. A one-day tour is planned to follow the conference. All fees,
including fees for accomodation and tour will be paid by the host of the
conference.
