I read with interest – and sorry to say, frustration – the recent posts of yours on this forum. My point is very simple: the use of offensive language and ad hominem remarks in your posts has seriously undermined the points that you are making. Even though I tend to agree with you, for instance, that Mr. Tang Fu may not be suited to assume important office in the government given his temperament and predisposition, it doesn’t follow his views and opinions can be dismissed out of hand. The same applies to the views and opinions of many other “political dissidents” who post on this forum, too.
With all due respect to you, Mr. Lu Di, you have obviously done us a great service by exposing the common fallacies of both the pro-communist and anti-communist schools of thought. You are a guiding light for those of us who are in dark; and we, the average readers, have very high expectations of you. So it is my plea that you stop calling names and making conjectures about others’ motives. Get down to real business, engage the arguments of others and elucidate your own points of view instead of launching personal assaults. There is no need to think of every post of yours as a vehicle to defame or discredit those who do not share your views.
