General Liu’s writing provides a vantage point from which one views the world with added insight.
But attempts to attach too much significance to his articles’ appearance may prove to be another dose of one’s wishful thinking. My view is that it is too early to hold your breath for anti-war faction splintering from the main body of the communist army, as if the old-fashioned communist structure is on the eave of its final coup de grace.
I hope that General Liu and the like will eventually gain the enough influence to sway the PLA, but realize that such a scene is not within the shouting range yet.
