端木丁, you are too naive! Or more politely, you are too innocent and that’s why I like you in the first place.

Can’t you see? By investing only $100, Dr Hong has succeeded in widening the abyss between XHC and HNBC and their fans. He has deliberately turned a simple matter into politics and has thus sowed the seeds of jealousy, resentment and hatred in the future. It is impossible for the two clubs to get equal amount of donations. As the fans of XHC are generally better off, their club might well get more money than ours. Then this would be used as an indication of respective popularities.

How could he be so ingenious, inventive and resourceful in dirty tricks? He is a born politician, of that I am dead sure.

Maybe you would say I am paranoid. Well, I am NOT. This is not the first time he played such dirty tricks. Last time I invited him to bet for the election. He agreed on the condition that if I lost, I should give money to XHC! Hearing that, I almost exploded with anger. For one thing, I had never thought of XHC when I proposed the bet. For another, I had never dreamed that he could have turned this pure bet into a political plot so as to intensify the conflicts between XHC and HNBC. Finally, I had never thought that he, a person I had been respecting all along, believed that I deserved the humiliation and insult of giving money to those shameless thieves who had left us with loads of debts after having robbed us of the last penny!

Dr Hong has shown us again and again the typical response of the Chinese low lives (though he denies this, believing he is somehow nobler than us Chinks). That is, holding this club responsible for his personal failures. As most readers here are against his political ideas whilst loads of readers in XHC support him, he has taken his personal frustrations to this club, believing we are all commies spies. That is why he first tried to libel us and then designed such a clever trick so as to darken our public image.

Still, this is a pitiful story and I feel sorry for him. Had he been a bit more talented, he could not have relied on dirty tricks. People turned evil often because they have no other intellectual resorts.
