I meant to ask you this question but kept forgetting: What does "chankoro" mean in
Japanese?
I heard this from a documentary film in which a few Japanese veterans interviewed
recalled their experiences in China, saying they called the Chinese "chankoro", which
meant they were not humans, but something like animals.
I guessed it was from "qing1 guo2 ren2" as China during the Qing Dynasty was called
"Da Qing Guo". However, if this was the word, it should not mean "sub-humans".
So I was puzzled and asked the Japanese guy in our department. As always, he
did not know.
I could not agree with you more about your comments on the Chinese ladies. I hate
to say this, but the most striking feature of the “modern Chinese ladies” (at least those
I met on line) is nothing but uncouthness and savageness. They could even be ruder
and more vulgar than men, mistaking sharp tongues for wits. That’s part of the reason
why I suffered from “female-phobia”.
In my view, women should be a symbol of tenderness, kindness and loveliness, not
some kinds of savage monsters. Oddly though, loads of "web ladies" do not seem
to know this. On the contrary, they are extremely proud of their glorious “victories”
over male opponents, not knowing that they have won only because they had taken
advantage of their gender, which is pretty mean, I must say.
