On this third day of the winter storm in the spring time I went to see the wild cats. Two of them were waiting on the iced shore where people usually give the food. I walked to them and they did not ran away as the wild cats always do. One black small kitty walked with 3 feet toward me with weak audible "meow , meow …" that was trembling in the freezing wind. One of her feet was injured apparently. They were in hunger. I gave the cat food and they were eating on the ice. I noticed that the iced running nose and iced tears on their face and the whole body was wet, shaking from time to time.
I looked at the underneath of the bank of the Flushing bay and found the ice sealed all over the places where they hide. There was nowhere they could find a place to keep warm. "Have they stayed on the ice and in the snow all the time?" I felt so bad for them.
Trying not to think too much I went back to my car when the black cat on her 3 feet followed me. I looked at this miserable kitty who was watching me under the window as if she were begging me 'take me with you, please'. I did not. I have 2 myself at home and occasionally there are other 2 coming from my daughter. I was so depressed when I was driving away. I will see you again tomorrow, be survival.
