that the japan prime minister, Abe, has an ambition in his 3 year term to amend the constitution to allow deploying Japanese military force overseas. Along with the news is a line of the past news that japan passed a law a week ago that mandates the patriotism education in the school.
This is intriguing. So I went to the message board of Japan Today and found out that there were quite interesting debates over there. One thing for sure is that the Teachers Union of Japan has been controlled by the leftwing since its establishment in 1947 (?) and traditionally the teachers union is against the Education Ministry of Japan. That might be why the revised version of Modern Japanese history textbook by the rightists has not been adopted in every school in Japan. Now there is patriotic education in school, for what?
From the revision of an aggression history to the patriotic education and the amendment of the constitution in the near future, the japan sun of the military machine is arising from the horizon once more.
