富有的青年人:
有一猶太人問耶稣: 要做那些好事, 才得永生? 耶稣说: 若想要走进永生, 就遵守那些神的命令, 如不可杀人, 不可通奸, 不可偷, 不可作假证, 尊重父母, 爱邻如己. 那青年人说: 我都遵守了, 還有嗎? 耶稣说: 那你就卖掉財產, 把钱分给穷人, 跟著我. 那青年人悲伤地走了, 因为他非常富有. 耶稣對门徒说: "看, 要富人进天国是困难的. 比要骆驼穿过针眼更難."
究竟只對尊守猶太人魔西的命令(十誡), 就可得永生, 還是要把自己的財產賣清光, 把所得錢分給窮人, 自己跟了耶穌才可得永生呢? 按這故事的說法, 椰穌叫那富人把財產賣清光跟他, 但那富人傷心地走了. 椰穌說, 看呀, 要富人跟他去天堂, 比骆驼穿过针眼都難.
照這樣的說法, 是不是尊守猶太人魔西的命令還是不行, 要把自己的財產賣清光, 把所得錢分給窮人, 才可去天堂呢, 如果是這樣, 2000年來, 沒有幾個歐洲白人可以達到猶太人耶穌的要求的.

The Rich Young Man
19:16 此时一个男人走上来他处说: "老师, 我一定做那些好事, 才得永生?"
19:16 Now a man came up to him and said, “Teacher, what good thing must I do to gain eternal life?”
19:17 他对他说: "你为什么问我什么是好的？在那裡只有一位是好的. 你若想要走进生, 遵守那些命令.(指十诫)"
19:17 He said to him, “Why do you ask me about what is good? There is only one who is good. But if you want to enter into life, keep the commandments.”
19:18 他问: "什麽命令?" 耶稣回答: "不可杀人, 不可做通奸事, 不可偷, 不可作假证,
19:18 “Which ones?” he asked. Jesus replied, “Do not murder, do not commit adultery, do not steal, do not give false witness,
19:19 尊重你的父和母, 爱你的邻居如自己."
19:19 honor your father and mother and love your neighbor as yourself.”
19:20 那青年男人对他说: "这些东西我已全部遵守了, 我还缺少什么呢？"
19:20 The young man said to him, “I have kept all these things. What do I still lack?”
19:21 耶稣对他说: "如你愿成完美, 去卖了你的拥有物, 把钱给穷人, 你将在天上拥有财宝. 接着, 来, 跟从我."
19:21 Jesus said to him, “If you wish to be perfect, go sell your possessions and give the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”
19:22 但当那年青的男人听到这些, 他就悲伤地走开了, 因为他非常富有.
19:22 But when the young man heard this he went away sorrowful, for he was very rich.
19:23 接着耶稣对他的门徒说: "我告知你们真实, 要富有的人进天堂之国是困难的.
19:23 Then Jesus said to his disciples, “I tell you the truth, it will be hard for a rich person to enter the kingdom of heaven.
19:24 我再说一次, 要一只骆驼穿过针眼, 比富有的人进父的国更容易."
19:24 Again I say, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter into the kingdom of God.”
19:25 门徒听到这话感到极大惊讶, 并说: "那谁人才可得救呢？"
19:25 The disciples were greatly astonished when they heard this and said, “Then who can be saved?”
19:26 耶稣看着他们说: "这对人是不能的, 但对神, 任何事都可能."
19:26 Jesus looked at them and replied, “This is impossible for man, but for God all things are possible.”
19:27 接着彼得对他说: "看, 我们已经丢下一切跟从你! 在那里我们将得什么？"
19:27 Then Peter said to him, “Look, we have left everything to follow you! What then will there be for us?”
19:28 耶稣对他们说: "我告知你们真实, 当在全部东西被更新的时代, 当人之子坐在他的光辉座上, 你们这跟从我的人, 也将坐在十二个座位上, 裁判以色列十二个支族.
19:28 Jesus said to them, “I tell you the truth: in the age when all things are renewed, when the Son of Man sits on his glorious throne, you who have followed me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
19:29 任何人为我的名而离开房屋, 或兄弟, 或姐妹, 或父, 或母, 或孩子, 或田地, 将会得到多于百倍, 并将会继承永生.
19:29 And whoever has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or children or fields for my sake will receive a hundred times as much and will inherit eternal life.
19:30 但有很多人第一将是最后的, 那最后的第一.
19:30 But many who are first will be last, and the last first.
