It’s normal to say something like “he’s watching to see somebody coming...” But it is incorrect to say “to watch somebody to give birth to a baby…” Instead, one should say “to watch somebody giving birth to baby…” Don’t ask me why, but Chinese immigrants tend to make this kind of mistakes more frequently than the guys from other nations.
Pay attention to correct phrase usages, and one would soon sound “naturally” in an English-speaking country.
Of course, things like “to give a birth to a baby” are downright wrong. But I normally do not bother to point out that kind of low-level mistakes.
My finger is at the mistakes, not at the person. No hard feelings.
