According to a leading cosmologist
God inflates the Universe. The devil drills a hole into it.
Landmark
when the stars first formed in an unlit sky,
i opened my eyes and wondered why.
when the weather turned and scooped me up,
i flew and swam and never looked back.
when the sun beat fast and lightning flashed,
i laughed at the madness as my dreams were smashed.
but when the first flowers opened and i saw the colour blue,
i cried with joy at the thought of you.

Is this really for me?
There was a thunder at 6pm last night
i thought it could be a bomb
carrying God's demolition team
and i miss my son
i've lost him to his other genes
at 3 am i woke to read a book
by a cosmologist
my old schoolmate lady Yun Wang
we used to be on the same dorm building
for a year then she disappeared
only came back to haunt me with cooings
about her childhood and Loss in the Spring.
it is hard to believe all her stories
even harder to believe she has no right to recount
the benality of our kind
Am i lucky to be born in the city
never shanghaied to any remote countryside
during the cultural revolution
where famine and cannibalism still linger
in her dream later spread her fame
like a shooting star bright and splendor
transversing fields of cosmology and poetry
far out and above Oklahoma University.
Wang Yun named her daughter 'tian' - the sky
"My Child, be free to not know"
not know any 'Buffalo Man' or the point 'Beyond Hunger'?
"You are the part of me that I have set free
so that I can hold the Sky in my arms"
and i wonder why
i always love to watch clouds in the sky
while mud and earth buried life deep inside
and give birth only to fathers with pride
while mothers' cry fading into the night
echoing between unreachable shoreline.
