Three cheers for his wonderful speech that I have just read downstairs (poster 164333). I wish someone could translate it into Chinese so that more people can read it.
Having read his speech, I feel there is no need for me to say another word to condemn the absolutely unnecessary war. As he pointed out so clearly, the aim of the war is not to disarm a potential danger from the international community, but to remove someone the Americans dislike. What he did not dare to say but I could read between the lines is that the war was launched out of the need determined by American partisan politics. How could anyone with a clean conscience justify this dirty business?
Shame they lost the vote and Tony Blair got his way. Still, Robin is a hero. Resignation on the basis of principles has never been heard of in China, and yet he just did it.
