My wife, ie, my lifelong boss and supervisor, wasn't very happy yesterday, for I broke my promise that I would never browse the web. So I don't think I'll be allowed to touch the computer tonight. Better say something now in English in case I wouldn't have the chance to say it in Chinese.
There is absolutely no doubt about the fact that I am the warlord of the web (Ever since Lao Ma outlawed the expression of "no doubt", I have felt the urge to use it as frequently as possible). It is also well known that I am a master of insulting people skillfully and intelligently.
Nonetheless, few realize that I may insult people, but I do not wrong them. I may mock at their low intelligence, but I rarely, if at all, analyze their mean motives, etc. On the contrary, I have condemned such disgusting practice many times, which culminated in my quarrel with Prof Fan. The reason why I cannot put up with him is that he is a master of framing people with all sorts of imaginary crimes whilst painting himself a decent gentleman.
Well, I am drifting again. What I am trying to say here is that, very unfortunately, I accused Bei Suni of being meanly motivated.
Yesterday, while An Hunqu was revealing a large amount of private information, I was the only one who condemned his action immediately. Later on, however, after Moli had expressed her disagreement with this misconduct, Bei Suni, a web master herself possessing the power of deleting posters, pretended to be an ordinary reader and asked the so-called "master on duty" to do it.
I was really sick of this pretence. To me, it seemed that Bei was trying to show off her high moral standards while evading the responsibility. Worse still, she was trying to throw the hot potato into others' hands. I spoke my mind there and then. Oddly enough, she deleted some posters by An in response to my criticism, as if to confirm my suspicion.
Only later did I realize that it was quite possible that I had wronged Bei. True, she might try to impress people, but as far as I know, she is by no means as sophisticated as I am, not even one thousandth. In other words, she was too thick to see what I saw and too stupid to think as much as I did. Had I not made the accusation, perhaps it would have never dawned on her that her behavior last night was extremely improper, to say the very least.
In short, Bei is too stupid to be evil or cunning. In order to be either, one's brain has to be normal. Very unfortunately, as everyone knows, this is not the case with her.
Another accusation I made last night might be wrong as well. Last year, Bei decried Moli at Shuodongdaoxi Forum, safely behind Moli's back. This was a fact as I read that libeling poster with my own eyes. Yet, she denied it last night, which made me very angry because I despise such lying cowards who have no guts to face the consequences of their own words or deeds.
Again, I realized later that it was quite possible that Bei denied that fact, simply because she had forgotten it. According to my observation, which in general is very accurate and penetrating, Bei is not only stupid with a poor memory, but also of low breed. As gossiping behind people's backs has become her second nature, it is very unlikely, if not impossible, for her to remember every piece of gossip she has uttered.
The best example to illustrate both her stupidity and low breed is that while she was welcoming a newcomer to this BBS, she habitually revealed to the public that the person was an editor of some kind of archives. I bet that while doing so, she never realized that she was revealing some private information - she was simply too stupid. Also, such conduct came to her so naturally that she would never be able to see its impertinence.
So I must admit to the public that I may well have wronged Bei by accusing her of being meanly motivated. For this I would like to apologize to her. Other than that, I do not think I said anything wrong last night.
