Or should I call you Mr Joker? Thanks very much for your encouragement. Of all readers, only you are clever enough to understand me so well. You must be sent by God himself. It's just impossible that by pure chance, you just appeared from nowhere at the very last and gave me the indispensable prompt so that I could take the decisive action after such a long hesitation.
You see, ever since my puberty, I have been thinking about this. Still, up until now, I have had no courage to get myself sterilized. The reason is pretty simple: What if I fail to find the second, the third and the fourth wife after I have taken the operation? Would that mean I would suffer in vain?
Another reason is that I am lazy-bones, hating in my guts all the rigid regulations and disciplines. All my life, I never managed to get to study or to work on time, not even once. In my youth, what I hated the most was the so-called "military training". Now, even for the sake of the rampant orgy with a few wives in prospect, it would still be too much for me to become a Mormon. This sacrifice of freedom for being idle is too high to be offset by even a hundred wives.
The third reason is that I cannot be certain about the effect of my sterilization on the ladies that I am about to conquer. I do not think women would rush to me like mad, competing for my hand only because I cannot make them bear babies. Am I right or wrong here? Could you please tell me if sterilization is the best way to seduce ladies, please. Anyway, my horizons are too narrow to allow me to imagine that sterilization is something that adds to a man's charm. If this is indeed the case, then I would understand why there is such a phrase as "fatal attraction". It actually means that if you kill the unborn babies within your body, you will become an irresistible lady-killer. Perhaps this is the so-called "dialectic logic" that Bright Leader has been teaching us all along: If you want to kill ladies with your charm, kill your sperm first.
The fourth reason is of course money. Needless to say, if you let a girl choose an impoverished handsome young man and a rich ugly old sod, it will take no time for her to make the right choice. Since I am a poor ugly old man, I do not think I stand a fat chance to woo a young girl unless I get the lottery.
Since you are sent by God, you are bound to help me solve all these problems, Mr Joke. Here I would like to emphasize the importance of the lottery. If you cannot give me advice, at least you've got to help me with this problem. I buy a ticket every week. So there are plenty of opportunities for you to play some kind of spell or other holy tricks so that I can get the correct number. What would you say, Mr Joker? (or Poker?)
