The KMT forces occupied the city, while the communist forces occupied the villages, without villages the city cannot survive.
Even though there are a few crusiers that can protect some coastal city, it can only defend a point, while the communist can choose any point on a front to break through.
The KMT forces are not entirely composed of elites, educated, they are only the leader ship, while most of the KMT forces are actually consist of poor peasants. |
