实子 do you think which department in the government should handle
this issue? Ministry of Health or Beauru for Radio/TV Broadcasting,
or them two form a joint task force?
AFAIK, they need to regulate for advertisements from hospitals, and
commercials for Chinese/alternative medicines. In some countries,
advertisement for a particular treatment of a disease and prescription
drugs are prohibited, however OTC drugs are not.
In some countries, hospitals sometimes disguise their commercials in
some scientific progandas. For example, a newspaper wrote a long
article introducing the LASIK program, but the newspaper attached the
contacts of a few hospitals which provide such service, and interviewed
a few experts from these hospitals.
It will be a difficult task for the Chinese government to decide
which is to be banned, and which is to be allowed.
