No! not really as u thought. HIV still can be infectious upto 10 days after leaving human body based on animal experimental data.
Usually it's believe HIV is very fragial and easily be killed after exposuring to the air.
Recently I do some AIDS pts autopsy and I concern this potential risk that I'm infected, I read a book on HIV and AIDS pathology, one chapter mentioned this issue as i mentioned above. Sorry for posting in E bcz I'm on a business trip. Later when I back home,
I'll give the book title and reference.

1. AIDS is a disease name caused by: HIV
2. Pathogen of AIDS: HIV--Human immunodifficiency virus.
