military power to Taiwan and Japan, not to himself. Another possible reason is to just find an enemy, so they have more reason to put money into military.

You don't think China is now comparable with US in terms of economics and military power, do you?

You might think "对宗教、民族事务的妥协" is "牺牲", but not everybody thinks that way.
