I barely missed that incident in 1986, I was in Beijing

attending a workshop. I went back to Keda shortly

after the incident and what I learned is more or

less the same as described in this article.

Shortly after that incident, both Fang and Guan were not

much concerned, since they weren't actively involved.

Of course later they were proven wrong on this.
