WTC’s collapse, partly thanks to economics like you.
Due to economics consideration, the civil buildings are not as strong as military buildings. When they designed WTC, I doubt real strength of the building as the designer clams... It is impossible to test.
As to the collapse speed, NIST has backed down from the initial pancake theory to a more realistic collapse mode including the cone.
