If you submit an article to a journal and if the journal accepts it, you may say that the article is "preprint",..., Without a note of acceptino of the journal you can only say "submitted",...., If it is just an unpublished article, you can say the article is "manuscript".
A Ph D dissertation is "imprint"? What does it mean? A Ph. D dissertaion should be collected in the university's library, this is for sure. But you can not find it in the library of U.of Chicago.
In the list of Ph.D. graduates, you should be able to find the name of the supervisor. But again, no supervisor can be found,... No publication at all,..., weird in a university like University of Chicago,....
