今天是我们领养这些宝贵的小女孩其中之一的周年纪念日。没有语言可以表达她给我们的生活所带来的那份如画的爱。
不错，她们当中的幸运者会被送进每一个城镇和乡村都有的孤儿院。我曾经得以访问我们女儿住过的孤儿院，
看到二十个相同年龄的女孩住在同一个房间里。这意味着一旦她们年满两周岁，被人领养的时机就会过去，她们必须在孤儿院里度过她们年轻生命的剩余时光。这些孤儿的数目极大。
Today is our one year anniversary of adopting one of these precious little girls. Words can't paint the picture of love she has brought to our lives.
Yes, the lucky ones get to the orphanages, which exist in every town and village. I was able to visit our daughter's orphanage: one room of 20 girls, all of exactly the same age. What this told me is that once they pass age 2, the window closes on their chances for adoption, and they spend the rest of their young lives in the orphanage. The numbers are staggering.
